Sandra´s reflection

In this post entry I would like you make a reflection about this Blog created for the subject English in Primary Education.  As you can see in this blog, I have post some different entries: the compulsory ones and others that I have added because I find them interesting.

The idea of creating a blog and post there the different entries is a good idea because we have worked the four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in an entertaining way. Once I have finished this subject, I can say that I have improved my English with the posting of the different entries. On the one hand, I have improved my use of English by writing the post entries with the adequate language. Also, I have enhanced my fluenty and pronuntiation in that tasks where I have uploaded some videos about different topics. Furthermore, I have practiced my reading skills when I had to compare the different headlines and when I had to analyse the piece of news. I have done a hard work of reading some articles of different newspapers in English so I can say that my reading comprehension is much better now than it was at the beginning of the university year. However, this part is the one that I still struggle with today. Finally, I have worked on listening skills by the visualization of different videos to know how to do a book review or a ted talk.

Talking about my own experience, I can say that creating a blog is a good way to work with this subject. However, you have to be very consistent when uploading entries so that they do not accumulate and you arrive in January with a pile of pending entries to upload. I think that we have organized ourselves very well since we have more or less been able to keep up to date thanks to the fact that we live together and it made it much easier for us to do the group work. 

It is true that at the beginning we had some problems when creating the blog because we didn't know how the different platforms to create blogs worked. However, with the help of our classmate David, we were able to create this blog. I think that for other years it would be necessary to take into account the digital competence of the students and find a fay to help students if they have difficulties in creating the blog.

In conclusion, the creation of the blog has helped to me to improve the four skills of a language. Concretely, it has helped to me to overcome my fear of speak in public as I am a shy person. Little by little I have been overcoming this fear and at the end of the semester I dare to say that I have successfully overcome it. Also, I have learnt how to create a blog so I have improved my digital competence. Finally, I have become proficient in work group at the same time I learnt from my classmate.
