Cyberbullying

Nowadays, young people are hooked on social media, which causes a lot of problems, such as overexposure, identity theft, low self- esteem, sleep deprivation, lack of concentration at school, sexing and cyberbullying.

Cyberbullying is much more present in schools than we think. Usually, teachers don't realise this problem because victims used to hide it, as we can see what Holly do in the video that we have watched in class.

One of the reasons why cyberbullying is caused, is that students are addictive to digital technologies and they use social network since they are little children. So, they are exposed to many dangerous risks. Furthermore, children are not controlled by parents. In consequence, they feel free using social networks and without noticing they are giving personal data which can be used in a bad way.

In our opinion, the solution to this problem is reducing the time of using the phone by introducing new hobbies activities at their daily life, such as playing sports, playing different instruments, learning a new language and so on.

To sum up, it is a big trouble that every teacher have to get involved in. If we control this as teachers, children will be happier, the education will be better and every child will have a social support.
