Epstein and Maxwell pictured at Queen's residence at Balmoral
This piece of news talks about a picture taken in the Queen's Balmoral residence, in which appers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. They were a famous couple, known because of their friendship with Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth's third son.
Jeffrey Eptein was a paedophile who was accused of running a "vast network" of underage girls for sex. He was taken to New York jail, but he died before he could face trial.
Guislaine Maxwell was his girlfriend and she is on trial for allegedly grooming teenage girls to be molested by Epstein. It is said that she was his accomplice.
The image which is shown before, has been chosen to show that Maxwell and Epstein had a close relationship and as a prove of the crime.
Nowadays, an investigation is underway into whether the woman was informed of the abuses and if she was also involved. If she was guilty, she would face up to 80 years un prison.
Firstly, seeing this piece of news on the BBC, in my opinion, it is not of interest to most people, it seems to me more gossip than news.
Talking about the piece of news, it seems to me that the case should be investigated very well because being important people and known by many people, I think that authorities have to be careful with the influence they can exert on people and what is said about them.
