Advertising makes us unhappy

 Does advertising make us unhappy?

Advertising is the activity or profession of producing advertisements for commercial products or services. In our opinion, advertising is necessary. Companies need it to advertise their products or services in various ways (TV, radio, billboards, etc). And thanks to them, consumers learn about the products or brands, prices, offers and they can discover new services or products. In conclusion, advertising is necessary because it helps brands making people aware of the new product so that the consumers come and try the product.

We are divided in the difficult issue of choosing  only one side in this statement: "Advertising makes us unhappy".

On the one hand, we agree with it because advertising creates a new need in our lifes. This is the reason why, everyday, brands are renovating their product or services. So, as consumers, we have the need of have the latest products, such as tecnological devices. Also, we think that advertising creates bad expectations, because it shows us a perfect life which we can't achieve, so we enter into a loop. Finally, advertising shows us a perfect life where there are no problems, so, in conclusion, unrealistic life where everybody is happy, making us feel unhappy about this new need.

On the other hand, we disagree with this statement, because advertising is neccessary to the economy of the companies; without advertising, TV will not exist. We think that if you have a good mental health, advertising will not have any influence on us because it only informs consumers of the products that companies offers. Advertising makes us laughing and smiling with the catchy music and slogans. To sum up, commercials make our life easier.
